HE IS RISEN!!!
I’ve been pondering what this mearns to the church as a whole, unfortunatly I am unsure of what this means for many churches. What does he is risen mean?
Is it a ticket into heaven if you believe in him? Salvation by grace alone? Somehow, I do not agree with this. I think you have to take everyting Jesus said seriously to believe that he is Lord. Whoever waters down his message or says its not for us to follow is a heretic in my opinion, and I know it is wrong to make these accusations, but do you even know Jesus Christ? He was not merely a sacrifice. Do you know what he did? Do you know that he came to overthrow the empire? Do you know that if he came back today, he would overthrow the empire which is the United States?
This is my Lord. I only have one master, and I refuse to trust in worldly powers for my salvation, and I will fight for the oppressed, the poor. I will fight against violence of all kinds. I will turn my sword into a plowshare. I will protest the war in Iraq. I will try not to give into consumer culture. I will not vote for a worldly savior, but trust that Christ will return and God will reconcile ALL things to himself.
This is my Savior. Today he has conquered death.
He is Risen Indeed!
